From Unprepared to Unstoppable: Unlocking Your Business Potential through Preparation

I’m honestly not sure where to start when it comes to the “power of preparation.”

Do I tell you about the time I logged onto a 1-1 coaching call and my face was sideways in the zoom chat and I couldn’t figure out how to get it to turn around? Um, highly embarrassing and even though I prepared for our call, I did NOT prepare for that! 😅

Do I tell you about how much I’ve learned about public speakers and how much they PREPARE and practice before ever getting in front of a crowd? 

Or do I tell you about how sharing my car with a teenager takes an incredible amount of preparation to have a smooth day - because I have 3 children and everyone has places to be! 

I think the value of “preparation” is underestimated. 

Not just in our personal life, but in our professional life. 

The problem is when we don’t prepare, our business will suffer. It’s just the truth. 

And the reason you should care is because your future self needs you to care. Imagine what life would be like or what outcomes we could achieve if we were intentional with our time.

Preparation Unlocks Potential.

And I know what you’re thinking - ok, that’s nice Mandy, but what is that going to do for me and WHERE in my business do I need to focus on preparation. 

There are 3 areas I think you should focus on:

1. Client Confirmation Calls/Texts - invite them into additional services BEFORE they even arrive
2. Prepare for their appointment the morning of - review the services they’re booked for and what you will be offering them
3. Prepare options for their next visit - save time and be ready to prebook your clients immediately after their visit

Luckily for me, even though I didn’t prepare my camera for my coaching call, I had prepared everything else, so when that hiccup occurred it didn’t totally throw me off!
