Big Faith, Big Heart, Big Business

Over the years I have gone to so many business training sessions and I love each and every one of them. What I found was, everything was so money focused.

The problem with that is, my faith says God will provide. My faith says I am not defined by how much money I make. My faith says that I will go where God calls me.

The message I kept hearing at these business seminars was ‘YOU can do whatever you put your mind to,’ ‘YOU will be successful when you reach ______ amount of money,’ ‘YOUR results are in direct proportion with your effort.’

And yes, ‘I’ do have to show up and put forth the effort and give it everything I have, but should life happen (like breaking my back and being told to step away from the chair), it doesn’t mean that I’m not valuable.

So as we start on this journey of growing our business, balancing motherhood, and talking about money….we will hold onto these Faith-based Business Strategies:

Staying rooted in the word:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

Family First:
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

Be a Servant Leader not a Riches Seeker:
“Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.” Proverbs 23:4-5
